P1336 - Crankshaft/Camshaft Sensor Range/Performance

P1336 - CRANKSHAFT/CAMSHAFT SENSOR RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:  The input signal to the powertrain control module (PCM) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor or the camshaft position (CMP) sensor is erratic.
Possible Causes: 
  • Damaged CKP sensor
  • Damaged CMP sensor
  • Base engine concerns
  • Harness concerns
Diagnostic Aids:  Check the harness for routing, alterations, incorrect shielding, or electrical interference from other systems.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
