Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

- With the ignition in the OFF position and in DRIVE, raise the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the LH splash shield.
- Remove the transaxle control splash shield.
- Loosen the selector lever cable adjustment screw.
- Loosen the selector lever cable bracket nuts so that the selector lever is free to move.
- Position the selector lever between the 2 ribs on the transaxle case.
- Lower the vehicle to access the selector lever.
- Place the transmission selector lever in the D position.
- Tighten the selector lever cable bracket nuts.
- Tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
- Tighten the selector lever cable adjustment screw to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- To verify the correct adjustment, observe the selector lever on the transaxle, while an assistant shifts the transmission selector lever to each range position ending in the D position.
- Install the transaxle control splash shield.
- Tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
- Install the LH splash shield.
CAUTION:
The ignition must be in the OFF position to make sure that the eCVT and the engine are OFF.
