Pinpoint Test D: The Door Locks Operate Only One Way

  1. D1 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) 
    • Disconnect: Driver Door Lock Control Switch C505.
    • Measure the resistance between the driver door lock control switch C505 pin 2, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to D2.
    • No  : REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. D2 CHECK CIRCUIT 117 (PK/BK) 
    • Disconnect: Passenger Door Lock Actuator C603.
    • Measure the voltage between the passenger door lock actuator C603, circuit 117 (PK/BK), harness side and ground while operating the door lock control switch to the lock position.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to D3.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. D3 CHECK CIRCUIT 118 (PK/OG) 
    • Measure the voltage between the passenger door lock actuator C603, circuit 118 (PK/OG), harness side and ground while operating the door lock control switch to the unlock position.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : REPAIR circuit 517 (BK/WH). TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No  : REPAIR circuit 118 (PK/OG). TEST the system for normal operation.
