Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the bolt, pin-type retainers and the accelerator control cover shield.
    • To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
  2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.
  3. Squeeze the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the bracket.

  4. Remove the nuts and the accelerator cable-to-valve cover stud bolt brackets.
    • To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
  5. Remove the cable from the accelerator pedal.

  6. Remove the accelerator cable grommet from the dash panel.
  7. Remove the accelerator cable.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
