Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - TorqShift: Installation

- Install the inlet and outlet tubes from the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler OTA and radiator in-tank reservoir.
- Install the cooler tube clips.
- Connect the inlet and outlet tubes to the radiator in-tank reservoir.
- Connect the hose and install the constant tension clamp to the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler OTA outlet tube.
- Connect the hose and install the constant tension clamp to the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler OTA filter return inlet tube.
- Install the secondary latches.
- Install the remote mount transmission fluid filter bracket.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Install the fluid cooler tubes, the fluid cooler tube bracket and the fluid cooler tube bracket nut.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Connect the transmission cooler inlet and outlet tubes to the remote mount fluid filter housing.
- Install the 4 secondary latches.
- Install the fluid cooler tubes in the front and rear cooler tube case fittings.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Fill the transmission with clean automatic transmission fluid.
- Check for leaks.
CAUTION:
Use only MERCON® SP Transmission Fluid to service the TorqShift transmissions. Mixing MERCON® or MERCON® V in a TorqShift transmission may cause transmission damage. Use of any fluid other than the recommended fluid can cause transmission damage.
