Removal And Installation

CAUTION: Clean off dirt and foreign material that may have collected around the rear axle speed sensor before removal to prevent fluid contamination.

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
Disconnect the rear axle speed sensor electrical connector.
NOTE: Do not apply force to the plastic rear axle speed sensor connector.
Remove the bolt and the rear axle speed sensor.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
