Exterior Lighting

The exterior lighting system consists of the following components:
- Headlamps
- Rear lamps
- Fog lamps
- Parking lamps
- Reversing lamp
- Center high mounted stoplamp
- Roof marker lamps
- Pickup box marker lamps
- Headlamp switch
- Outside rear view mirrors
- Multifunction switch
- Brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- Photocell
- Daytime running lamp (DRL) relays
- Turn/hazard flash relay
- Trailer tow relays
- Central junction box (CJB)
- Vehicle security module
The DRL system operates the headlamps at a reduced intensity due to the DRL resistor when the following conditions are met:
- The high beam headlamps are disabled.
- The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
- The headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
- The parking brake is not engaged.
The DRL system consists of:
- DRL relays (located in the engine compartment).
- DRL resistor (located near the LH headlamp below the power steering fluid bottle).
