Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  2. Position the watershield aside.
  3. Remove the 2 rear door handle rivets.
  4. Position the rear door handle aside.
  5. Disconnect the upper rear door latch actuating cable from the rear door handle.

  6. Remove the 3 bolts and the upper rear door latch.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Lubricate the upper rear door latch after installation.
