Disassembly And Assembly

CAUTION: If the components are to be reinstalled, they must be installed in the same position. Mark the components removed for location.

Remove the spark plugs, if necessary.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).

Using the special tool, compress the valve springs.

Remove the following:
- Valve spring retainer keys.
- Valve spring retainers.
- Valve springs.
- Valve stem seals and seats.
- Intake valves.
- Exhaust valves.

Inspect the components. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.

CAUTION: Lubricate the parts with clean engine oil before installing.

To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
