Fuel Injectors
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2006 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The fuel injectors:
- Are electronically operated by the PCM.
- Atomize the fuel as the fuel is delivered.
- Each have an internal solenoid that opens a needle valve, which injects fuel into the intake port in the cylinder head.
- Are deposit resistant.
