Rear Disc Brake: Installation

    NOTE: Make sure the brake disc-to-hub mounting surface is free of rust and foreign material before applying anti-seize lubricant.
  1. Install the brake disc and the 2 brake disc screws.
    • Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
  2. Position the brake caliper, brake pads and brake caliper anchor plate assembly and install the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts.
    • Tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
  3. Install the parking brake cable to the brake caliper.
    • Pull back the parking brake lever.
    • Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.
    • Install the cable conduit retaining clip.
  4. Cycle the park brake several times to verify normal operation. For additional information on parking brake adjustment, refer to PARKING BRAKE & ACTUATION .
  5. Test the brakes for normal operation.
