Removal and Installation

  1. Place the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position and remove the ignition key.
  2. Remove the driver air bag module. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove and discard the steering wheel bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 47 N.m (35 lb-ft).
  4. Remove the steering wheel.
    • Route the 2 driver air bag module electrical connectors through the steering wheel.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install the driver air bag module. For additional information, refer to INSTALLATION .
