Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Mariner and 2006 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The SJB receives a lock/unlock signal from the driver door lock cylinder switch (part of the door latch) through circuit 1317 (DB/LG) and circuit 1316 (WH/VT) and shuts off the anti-theft alarm allowing entry. The driver door lock cylinder switch is grounded through circuit 570 (BK/WH).
