Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tube clamps and disconnect the rubber hoses from the auxiliary cooler.
- Disconnect the upper fluid cooler rubber hose from the radiator.
- Remove the 7 retainers and the LH splash shield.
- Disconnect the lower fluid cooler rubber hose from the radiator.
- Disconnect and remove the front cooler tube from the transaxle case.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Disconnect and remove the rear cooler tube from the transaxle case.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Disconnect and remove the fluid cooler tube bracket from the transaxle case.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Fill the transaxle with clean automatic transmission fluid.
- Remove the fluid cooler tubes from under the vehicle and install new as necessary.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
