Selector Lever Bezel: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Place the floor shift selector lever in the (D) position.

Gently pry up to remove the upper shift lever trim ring.

Remove the top finish panel.

Remove the set screw.

Fig 5: Locating Shift Knob Set Screw

CAUTION: Make sure that the plastic straw inside of the lever does not come out.

Fig 6: Pulling Knob And Wiring Straight Up On Knob

Remove the knob and wiring by pulling straight up on the knob.
Carefully pry up the 4 bezel clips and remove the bezel.

Remove the gearshift bezel.
