Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Drain the engine coolant. For additional information, refer to DRAINING .
If removing a single hose from the heater core, remove the heater hose retainer.

NOTE: To access the lower heater hose connections, remove the lower splash shield.

Release the clamps and remove the necessary heater hoses.

NOTE: Lubricate the coolant hoses with water if needed.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
