Removal and Installation

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Rotate the tensioner clockwise and position the accessory drive belt aside.

Loosen the 2 lower generator bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Remove the 2 generator bracket bolts and position the generator and bracket aside.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.
Using a 19 mm (0.74 in) 12 point crows foot, remove and discard the CHT sensor.
- To install, tighten to 26 Nm (19 lb-ft).

NOTE: The CHT sensor is not to be reused. Always install a new sensor.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
