Removal and Installation

- Remove the fuel tank. For additional information, refer to FUEL TANK & LINES .
- Release the clamp and disconnect the fuel vapor tube assembly-to-fill limiting vent valve hose.
- Insert a suitable tool between the fill limiting vent valve flange and the fuel tank grommet, apply upward pressure and remove the fill limiting vent valve from the tank.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Carry out an evaporative emission system leak test. For additional information, refer to EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM LEAK TEST .
- Carry out the evaporative emission repair verification drive cycle. For additional information, REFER to the INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE article.
NOTE:
Be careful when removing the fill limiting vent valve from the fuel tank grommet to avoid damaging either component.
