Front Door Latch: Removal

- Remove the front door interior trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the bolt and position the interior door handle aside.
- Position the watershield aside.
- If equipped, disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector.
- If equipped, disconnect the remote keyless entry (RKE) keypad and front door disarm switch electrical connectors.
- Push the wiring harness grommet through the door module.
- Reconnect the window regulator and window switch electrical connectors and position the front door window to access the glass clamp bolts.
- Disconnect the window regulator and window switch electrical connectors
- Loosen the 2 window glass clamp bolts.
- Position the window fully up and secure it with tape.
- If equipped, remove the door lock cylinder circlip and position the front door lock cylinder rod and pawl aside.
- If equipped, remove the front door lock cylinder pawl from the actuating rod.
- Open the yellow clip and disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod from the front door latch.
- Remove the 3 front door latch bolts.
- Remove the 11 bolts and position the door module aside.
- Disconnect the door ajar switch and the door lock actuator electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the push button rod from the front door latch.
- Remove the remote cable cover from the latch.
- Release the interior door handle cable from the latch.
- Remove the front door latch from the bracket.
