- TO1 CONTINUOUS MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0A50: CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF DTC P1270
- Is PCM DTC P1270 present during the self-test?
Yes No The generator overspeed condition was a result of an engine overspeed.
REPAIR DTC P1270 before continuing. REFER toDIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHARTS AND DESCRIPTIONS .GO to TO2. - TO2 CHECK FOR CORRECT GENERATOR RPM NOTE: Refer to the table at the beginning of this pinpoint test for correct generator to engine RPM correlations.
- Clear the TCM DTCs.
- Access the TCM and monitor the G_SPEED and RPM PIDs.
- Place gear selector lever in PARK.
- Key ON, engine running.
- Record the generator RPM at different engine speeds.
- Does the generator RPM correspond with the engine RPM in the table?
