DTC P0074: Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent/Erratic

P0074 - AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT/ERRATIC

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the AAT circuit for concerns. This DTC sets if the PCM detects a sudden change in the ambient air temperature (AAT) sensor signal that changes beyond the minimum or maximum calibrated limit.
Possible Causes: 
  • Loose electrical connection
  • Damaged AAT sensor
Diagnostic Aids:  Check the harness and connection. Monitor the sensor PID while wiggling and bending the harness from the sensor to the PCM.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST FA .
