DTC P0A78: Drive Motor A Inverter Performance

P0A78 - DRIVE MOTOR A INVERTER PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC indicates a traction motor high voltage inverter or a traction battery concern.
Possible Causes: 
  • Inverter concern
  • Inverter temperature sensor
  • Motor control module (MCM)
  • Motor gate drive circuit open
  • Motor current sensor
  • Motor current out of range
  • MCM supply voltage out of range
  • High voltage traction battery
Diagnostic Aids:  The TCM DTC P0A78 could be stored as a result of a traction battery concern. Check for the presence of traction battery control module (TBCM) DTC P0A1F, P0A27, or
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST TS .
