Pilot Bearing: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Mercury Milan and 2010 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Using a soft-face hammer and the Pilot Bearing Installer, install the pilot bearing.
NOTE: The pilot bearing can only be installed with the seal facing the transmission. The pilot bearing is pregreased and does not require additional lubrication. A new pilot bearing must be installed whenever it is removed.
