Inspection and Verification

- Verify the customer concern by operating the transmission external control.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Refer to the following chart:VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical Electrical - Damaged brake shift interlock actuator (BSIA)
- Damaged transmission control (TC) switch
- Failed fuse(s):
- 2.11 (15A)
- 2.6 (10A)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections
- If the concern is not visually evident, determine the symptom. Go to Symptom Chart - External Controls or Go to Symptom Chart - Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) .
