Transmission Insulator And Retainer: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the 2 nuts.
  3. Fig 1: Insulator Nuts

  4. Position a high-lift transmission jack under the transmission.
  5. Raise the transmission until the retainer studs are separated from the transmission support crossmember.

  7. Remove the bolts and the insulator and retainer.
