Extension Housing Gasket: Installation

Install the extension housing and gasket.
1. Install the extension housing and gasket.
2. Install the bolts.
  - Tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).

Install the insulator and retainer and install the bolts.
- Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

Lower the transmission onto the rear crossmember and tighten the insulator and retainer nuts.
- Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

Connect the catalyst monitoring sensor harness connectors. Install the harness bracket.

NOTE: The output shaft and the driveshaft are a balanced assembly.

Install the driveshaft.
- Align the index marks and position the driveshaft on the transmission.
- Position the driveshaft to the rear differential.

NOTE: To maintain driveshaft balance, install the driveshaft yoke and flange in the original position that was marked during removal.

Install the 4 driveshaft bolts.
- Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).
