Pinpoint Test L: The Hazard Lamps Are Inoperative

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
NOTE: Make sure the stoplamp and turn signals operate correctly before diagnosing the hazard lamp function.
  1. L1 CHECK CIRCUIT 10 (LG/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202a

    • Measure the voltage between the multifunction switch C202a-6, circuit 10 (LG/RD), harness side and ground.
    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new multifunction switch. REFER to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
