Pinpoint Test R: The Trailer Lamps Are Inoperative - All

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. R1 CHECK CIRCUIT 206 (WH) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect the trailer from the vehicle.

    • For the 4-pin connector, measure the resistance between the trailer tow C4098-1 206 (WH), harness side and ground.

    • For the 7-pin connector, measure the resistance between the trailer tow C4099-2, circuit 206 (WH), harness side and ground.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : Go to  R2.
    2. NO  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. R2 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN (ALL LAMPS INOPERATIVE) 
    • Disconnect: Trailer Tow Parking Lamp Relay

    • Measure the resistance between the trailer tow parking lamp relay pin 2, circuit 57 (BK), BJB face side and ground.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : The vehicle is operating correctly. SEND the trailer to an authorized camper/trailer repair facility.
    2. NO  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
