Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor: Installation

    NOTE: Only hand-tighten the bolt or damage to the front cover can occur.
  1. Install a 6 mm x 18 mm bolt through the crankshaft pulley and thread it into the front cover.

  3. Install the CKP sensor and the 2 bolts.
    • Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

  5. Adjust the CKP sensor with the Crank Alignment Tool.
    • Tighten the 2 bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

  7. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
  8. Remove the 6 mm x 18 mm bolt from the crankshaft pulley.

  10. Install the engine plug bolt.
    • Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
  11. Install the RH splash shield, 5 bolts and the pin-type retainer (not shown).
    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
