Removal And Installation: Radiator
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Disconnect the dual electric cooling fan electrical connectors.
- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING in this article.
- Lift and remove the cooling fan motors and shroud from the retainer brackets and lower from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the upper hose from the radiator.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the lower hose from the radiator.
- Remove the 5 pushpins and the lower radiator splash shield.
- Detach and support the air conditioning condenser.
- Detach the wiring harness retaining clip from the radiator support bracket.
- Detach the transmission fluid cooler from the 2 RH brackets and the LH bracket.
- Support the fluid cooler.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the lower core support.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Remove the radiator.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING in this article.
