Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Remove the brake hose from the support bracket.

    3. CAUTION: Do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur.
  3. Remove and discard the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts from the wheel knuckle. Position the brake caliper and anchor plate aside as an assembly.
    • Support the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly using mechanic's wire.
    • To install, tighten the new bolts to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft).
  4. Remove the brake disc.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
