Pinpoint Test B: The Roof Opening Panel Shows Unexpected Bounce Back At High Speed

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

B1 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE SPEEDOMETER
- Drive the vehicle.
- Observe the speedometer.
- Does the speedometer operate correctly?
Yes : GO to B2.

No : REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER for diagnosis of the speedometer.
B2 CHECK CIRCUITS 8-GB8 (WH/BU) AND 8-RE22 (WH/VT) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) C175b.
- Disconnect: Roof Opening Panel Motor C9015.
- Measure the resistance between the PCM C175b-1, circuit 8-RE22 (WH/VT), harness side and the roof opening panel motor C9015-6, circuit 8-GB8 (WH/BU), harness side.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes : INSTALL a new roof opening panel motor. REFER to ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR in this article. TEST the system for normal operation.

No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
