Removal and Installation

Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the instrument panel lower panel.
- Remove the screws.
- Release the fastener.
- To install, tighten the screws to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

Using a thin bladed screwdriver, release the 2 clips and remove the upper steering column shroud.

Remove the audio control switch (if equipped).
Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
1. Insert and turn the ignition key to position I (Accessory).
2. Using a thin bladed screwdriver, press the detent.
3. Remove the lock cylinder.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
