Pinpoint Test G: The Traction Control Switch Illumination Is Inoperative

  1. G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 29S-LH45 (OG/WH) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Traction Control Switch C2267.
    • With the parking lamps ON, rotate the instrument panel dimmer switch to the full illumination position.
    • Measure the voltage between the traction control switch C2267-8, circuit 29S-LH45 (OG/WH), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 

    Yes  : GO to G2.

    No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  2. G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 91-LH45 (BK/WH) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Turn the parking lamps OFF.
    • Measure the resistance between the traction control switch C2267-7, circuit 91-LH45 (BK/WH), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes  : INSTALL a new traction control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

    No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
