Removal and Installation
- Release the parking brake.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the parking brake cable from the brake caliper.
- Pull back the parking brake lever.
- Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.
- Remove the cable conduit retaining clip.
- Remove the cable from the brake caliper.
- Remove the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts. Position the anchor plate and brake caliper aside as an assembly.
- Support the assembly with mechanic's wire.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the brake disc.
- If equipped, remove the retaining clip.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the hose or damage to the hose can occur.
