Pinpoint Test C: A Single Window Is Inoperative - Front And Rear Power Windows - Passenger Window
- C1 CHECK FOR IGNITION VOLTAGE TO THE INOPERATIVE WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Key in ON position.
- Does the inoperative window control switch LED illuminate?
Yes : GO to C2.
No : GO to C3.
- C2 CHECK THE INOPERATIVE WINDOW FOR OPERATION FROM THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Operate the driver window control switch.
- Does the inoperative window operate correctly?
Yes : VERIFY the customer concern.
No : GO to C5.
- C3 CHECK CIRCUITS 31-LH31 (BK) AND 31-LH36 (BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Inoperative Window Control Switch C604, C701 or C801.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative window control switch, harness side and ground as follows:CONNECTOR REFERENCE
Window control switch Connector - Pin Circuit Front passenger C604-4 31-LH31 (BK) LH rear passenger C701-4 31-LH36 (BK) RH rear passenger C801-4 31-LH36 (BK) - Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes : For front passenger window, VERIFY the CJB fuse 55 (25A) is OK. IF OK, REPAIR circuit 15-AJ18 (GN/OG). TEST the system for normal operation. For rear passenger window(s), GO to C4.
No : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C4 CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE INOPERATIVE WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504a.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the driver window control switch C504a-2, circuit 15-AJ10 (GN/OG), harness side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes : REPAIR circuit 15S-AJ32 (GN/RD). TEST the system for normal operation.
No : VERIFY the CJB fuse 54 (25A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C5 CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE INOPERATIVE WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH MOTOR UP CIRCUIT AND GROUND
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Inoperative Window Control Switch C604, C701 or C801.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative window control switch, harness side and ground as follows:CONNECTOR REFERENCE
Window control switch Connector - Pin Circuit Front passenger C604-6 33-AJ18 (YE/VT) LH rear passenger C701-6 33-AJ32 (YE/BU) RH rear passenger C801-6 33-AJ32 (YE/BU) - Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes : GO to C6.
No : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C6 CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE INOPERATIVE WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH MOTOR DOWN CIRCUIT AND GROUND
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative window control switch, harness side and ground as follows:CONNECTOR REFERENCE
Window control switch Connector - Pin Circuit Front passenger C604-3 32-AJ18 (WH/VT) LH rear passenger C701-3 32-AJ32 (WH/BU) RH rear passenger C801-3 32-AJ32 (WH/BU) - Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes : GO to C7.
No : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative window control switch, harness side and ground as follows:
- C7 CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE PASSENGER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH AND THE PASSANGER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR
- Disconnect: Inoperative Passenger Window Regulator Motor C623, C703 or C803.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative window control switch, harness side and the inoperative passenger window regulator motor, harness side as follows:CONNECTOR REFERENCE

Yes : INSTALL a new door window regulator motor. REFER to WINDOW REGULATOR AND MOTOR - FRONT DOOR or WINDOW REGULATOR AND MOTOR - REAR DOOR in this article. TEST the system for normal operation.
No : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
