Removal and Installation

All vehicles

NOTE: Prior to removal of the instrument cluster, it is necessary to upload the instrument cluster configuration information to the diagnostic tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .

Depower the supplemental restraint system. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
Remove the instrument panel finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .

Expedition

Remove the instrument cluster.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Press the retaining tabs, remove the transmission range selector, and position aside.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

Navigator

Remove the instrument cluster.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

All vehicles

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Download the instrument cluster configuration information from the diagnostic tool into the new instrument cluster. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
