Removal and Installation

CAUTION:
The mass air flow (MAF) sensor electronics module and body are calibrated as a unit and must be serviced as a unit. Do not tamper with the sensing elements located in the air flow bypass of the MAF body.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING - 3.0L (4V) .
- Disconnect the mass airflow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 nuts and the MAF sensor.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
