Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the instrument panel steering column cover.
  2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. For additional information, refer to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .
  3. Remove the 3 steering column shroud screws and the lower steering column shrouds.
  4. Remove the PATS transceiver screw.
  5. Remove the PATS transceiver.
    • Disconnect the PATS transceiver electrical connector.
    6. NOTE: No key replacement or re-initialization needs to occur with the removal or installation of a new PATS transceiver.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
