F-450, F-550 vehicles

    NOTE: The steering gear bolts have a dry adhesive on the threads. The bolts must not be reused.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and the steering gear.
    • Discard the bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 300 Nm (221 lb-ft).


  1. Using the special tool and 2 grade 8 bolts, 90 mm (3.54 in), separate the sector shaft arm from the steering gear.
