Removal And Installation

  1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding  in this article.
  2. Remove the cooling fan and shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan - Blade, Clutch and Shroud  in this article.
  3. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose.
  4. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper degas bottle hose.
  5. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
  6. Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tubes.

  8. Remove the bolts, the radiator support brackets and the upper radiator insulators
    • To install, tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb-ft).
  9. Remove the radiator.
  10. Remove the lower radiator insulators.
  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
