Pinpoint Test C: A Single Illumination Source Is Inoperative
- C1 VERIFY THE CONDITION
- Key in ON position.
- Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.
- Rotate the instrument panel dimmer switch to the full illumination position.
- Observe the lighting.
- Are the illumination sources operating correctly?
- Yes : System is operating correctly at this time.
- No : If the exterior rear view mirror switch, the memory set switch, the driver door lock control switch, or the passenger door lock control switch (fixed backlighting) are inoperative, GO to C4.
If the variable backlighting sources are inoperative, GO to C2 .
- C2 CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE INOPERATIVE VARIABLE ILLUMINATION SOURCE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Inoperative Illumination Source.
- Key in ON position.
- Place the headlamp switch in the headlamps ON position.
- Rotate the instrument panel dimmer switch to the full illumination position.
- Measure the voltage between the inoperative illumination source and ground as follows:VOLTAGE REFERENCE
