Inspection and Verification
- Verify the customer concern.
- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage. Refer to the following chart:VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical - Parking brake control
- Front parking brake cable
- Rear parking brake cable
- Parking brake cable equalizer
- Rear disc brake caliper
- Rear drum parking brake lever
- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
