Removal and Installation

  1. Release the parking brake.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
  3. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake caliper.
    1. Pull back the parking brake lever.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.
    3. Remove the cable conduit retaining clip.
    4. Remove the cable from the brake caliper.

  4. Remove the brake caliper and anchor plate from the wheel knuckle.

  5. Remove the brake disc.
    • Remove the retaining clip (if equipped).

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Adjust the parking brake cable. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE AND ACTUATION .
