Pinpoint Test R: The High Beam Indicator Is Never On

R1 CHECK THE HIGH BEAM LAMP OPERATION
- Key in ON position.
- Turn on the high beam lamps.
- Do the high beam lamps operate correctly?
  - Yes : GO to R2.
  - No : REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the high beam lamps.
R2 CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT CIRCUIT 15S-LE11 (GN/WH)
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Instrument Cluster C2220.
- Place the headlamp switch in the ON position.
- Place the multifunction switch in the high beam position.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the instrument cluster C2220 pin 27, circuit 15S-LE11 (GN/WH), harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
  - Yes : GO to R3.
  - No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
R3 CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
- Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
- Check for:
  - Corrosion
  - Pushed-out pins
- Connect the instrument cluster connector and make sure it seats correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
  - Yes : INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  - No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
