Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the camshaft roller followers. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFT ROLLER FOLLOWER .
    2. NOTE: Mark the positions of the hydraulic lash adjusters to make sure they are assembled in their original positions.
  2. Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.
    3. NOTE: Inspect the hydraulic lash adjusters for scoring marks and uneven wear in the bore. Install new lash adjusters if necessary.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Lubricate the hydraulic lash adjusters with clean engine oil.
