Pinpoint Test C: The Wipers Stay On Continuously - Front

- C1 CHECK THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Multi-function Switch C2081.
- Key in ON position.
- Does the wiper motor continue to run?
Yes : GO to C2.
No : INSTALL a new multi-function switch. REFER to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES . TEST the system for normal operation.
- C2 CHECK CIRCUIT 56 (DB/OG) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between multi-function switch C2081-6, circuit 56 (DB/OG), harness side and ground.
- Is any voltage present?
Yes : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
No : GO to C3.
- C3 CHECK CIRCUIT 28 (BK/PK) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Measure the voltage between multi-function switch C2081-4, circuit 28 (BK/PK), harness side and ground.
- Is any voltage present?
Yes : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
No : INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to WIPER MOTOR - WINDSHIELD in this article.
