Removal & Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Disconnect the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.

  4. Disconnect the LH HO2S electrical connector.

    NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the HO2S with penetrating and lock lubricant to aid in removal.
  6. Using the special tool, remove the RH or LH HO2S as necessary.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
