Removal & Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud assembly. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud .
  3. Remove the pin-type retainers and remove the radiator sight shield.

  5. Disconnect the lower radiator hose and position aside.
  6. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 radiator support brackets.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  7. NOTE: Right side shown in illustration, left side simular.
  8. Remove the top 4 pin-type retainers from the A/C condenser air deflectors.

  10. Disconnect the transmission cooler tubes from the transmission cooler and position aside.
    • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

  12. Remove the pin-type retainer from the power steering fluid cooler tube bracket.
  13. Remove the bolt from the A/C condenser.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  14. Release the 2 cooler retainer clips and seperate the power steering fluid cooler from the radiator.

  16. Separate the A/C condenser from the radiator.
    • Remove the radiator.

    NOTE: Do not reuse hose clamps. Instead, use appropriately sized worm-style clamps in place of the constant tension clamps.
  18. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  19. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
  20. Fill the transmission to the correct fluid level. For additional information, refer to GENERAL PROCEDURES article.
