Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. With vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Remove the radiator grille. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  3. Remove the front impact severity sensor. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
  4. Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 radiator brackets.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  5. Disconnect the hood switch electrical connector.
  6. Remove the 3 relay box bracket bolts and position the relay box and bracket aside.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  7. Remove the center support lower bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  8. Remove the nut and the center support.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  9. Remove the 2 bolts and position the auxiliary coolant pump aside.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  10. Disconnect the cooling fan resistor electrical connector.
  11. Disconnect the 2 cooling fan electrical connectors
  12. Remove the 6 cooling fan bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  13. NOTE: Remove the LH cooling fan first and slide the RH cooling fan to the left side to remove.
  14. Remove the LH and the RH cooling fans.
  15. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
